Job summary

Aspire People is working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Rochdale to recruit an experienced SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

You will primarily teach within a specialist provision for learners with complex autism and speech, language and communication needs, with flexibility to work across other pathways and EHCP-led curricula. This role welcomes ECTs to apply.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching pupils with autism and complex SEND.
• Ability to support learners with severe autism and communication needs.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons tailored to pupils with autism and complex needs.
• Assess and monitor progress, maintain records.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families.
• Create a calm, structured, inclusive classroom.
