Job summary

Aspire People is working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Rochdale, Lancashire, to recruit an experienced SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. The role runs Monday to Friday, term time only, with pay up to 240 per day depending on experience.

The successful candidate will teach pupils with complex autism and SEND, plan and assess learning to meet EHCP goals, and work with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families to deliver a safe, structured and highly

Qualifications

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching pupils with autism and complex SEND.
Ability to support learners with severe autism and communication needs.
Plan, deliver and assess learning to meet individual EHCP outcomes.
Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with autism and complex needs.
Support pupils with significant communication and interaction difficulties.
Develop learning around communication, independence and life skills.
Adapt teaching to meet individual EHCP outcomes.
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families.
Use positive behaviour support strategies to manage dysregulation and behaviours associated with autism.
Monitor progress and maintain accurate records.
Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
