We wish to appoint an SEN Teacher/Attendance TLR2 required for January 2027 or sooner.

North Ridge is an Outstanding specialist high school for pupils with persistent and complex special educational needs, aged 11-19 years.

We area fast developing school split across two sites, that incorporates a range of student led businesses, located at our 6th Form Hub in Cheetham Hill.

The leadership team and school governors seek to appoint a dynamic, hard working individual who will live up to our school motto of “do your best”.

The suitable candidate to this post will be able to teach pupils and student in the age range 11 – 19 years who have complex and persistent learning needs and an EHC plan.

This will be with any pupils in the school. You will be a member of a team and will teach within your department and in other departments as required. You will have full responsibilities for a class and will be responsible for the education and pastoral care of this class.

  • Demonstrateexcellent standards in teaching and learning,havingworkedwith SEN pupilsfor at least 2 years.
  • Have a clear understanding of the needs of SEN pupils and the importance of their attendance. You will beenthusiastic,visionaryand solution focused to over-come barriers to pupil attendance and lead other staff in school toraise pupil attendance.
  • Be an excellentrole model to colleagues across the school anddemonstratestrong attendanceand punctuality.
  • Become confidentin following thenewly updated “working together to improve school attendance” strategytoensure that all stakeholders are accountable for pupil attendance, ensuring pupils access their right to an education.
