Job summary

Park School in Chipping Norton is seeking a SEN Teacher to deliver personalised teaching for pupils with additional needs. You’ll plan engaging lessons, adapt approaches for Autism and complex needs, and monitor progress to help learners reach their potential.

We offer a permanent, term-time role with 37.5 hours per week, starting October 2026. A supportive team environment and collaboration with families and external professionals are part of daily practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified with QTS preferable.
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent required.
• Passionate about SEND education and committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
• Experienced in supporting children and young people with additional needs, including Autism and complex learning profiles.
• Patient, resilient and nurturing, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
• Creative and adaptable, able to tailor learning to suit individual strengths and needs.
• Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging, tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs.
• Adapting teaching approaches to support pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, learning difficulties and complex needs.
• Monitoring, assessing and celebrating pupil progress, ensuring every learner reaches their potential.
• Developing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
• Creating a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel valued and supported.
• Working closely with colleagues, families and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.

Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum (dependent on experience, not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am - 4.30pm
