Job summary

Park School in Chipping Norton is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team. You will deliver personalised teaching to pupils with a range of additional needs, developing IEPs and adapting approaches to support Autism and complex learning profiles.

The role is permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with term-time considerations. A QTS is preferred; GCSE English and Maths or equivalent are required. UK applicants only; sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging, tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs.
  • Adapting teaching approaches to support pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism and complex needs.
  • Monitoring progress and developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Creating a safe, structured classroom environment and collaborating with families and external professionals.

What you will be doing

Planning and delivering engaging, tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs.

Adapting teaching approaches to support pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, learning difficulties and complex needs.

Monitoring, assessing and celebrating pupil progress, ensuring every learner reaches their potential.

Developing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.

Creating a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel valued and supported.

Working closely with colleagues, families and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.

About You

Qualified with QTS preferable.

  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent required.

Passionate about SEND education and committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Experienced in supporting children and young people with additional needs, including Autism and complex learning profiles.

Patient, resilient and nurturing, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.

Creative and adaptable, able to tailor learning to suit individual strengths and needs.

A strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
