Job summary

Horizon Teachers are recruiting for a SEN Teacher to work in a SEN school catering for pupils with Autism aged 11-13 year olds located in Uxbridge.

The role requires Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and an enhanced DBS check. The school is part of the Operam Education Group and aims to support students with autism in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• SEN experience and ability to work with autism, and to support diverse learners.
• Enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks are required prior to placement.
• Experience in SEN settings with autistic pupils is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports personal growth, emotional well-being and academic achievement.
• Carefully track and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reports to inform interventions.
• Utilise behaviour management techniques, de-escalation strategies and positive reinforcement to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
