Teaching Personnel is currently recruitingQualified Teacherswho are interested in opportunities within a specialist secondary and post-16 setting inBlackleyfor the2026/27 academic year.

This specialist provision supports pupils with a range of learning disabilities and additional needs, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally within a structured and nurturing environment. The school caters for students acrossKS3, KS4, and Post-16, with all learners holding anEducation, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Staff work collaboratively to ensure every student receives the tailored support they need to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Qualified Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, fostering positive relationships, and creating engaging learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of students. Working closely with support staff, therapists, and other professionals, you will help students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for future success.

Responsibilities may include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students' individual needs.
• Creating an inclusive learning environment that promotes participation, independence, and achievement.
• Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress in line with individual targets and EHCP outcomes.
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider professionals to support student development.

• Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement.
• Contributing to annual reviews, assessments, and educational planning.
• Supporting students during enrichment activities, educational visits, and transition periods.

• Helping to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing school environment.

• HoldQualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Demonstrate patience, resilience, and a commitment to inclusive education.
• Are able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Have experience supporting students with learning disabilities, autism, communication needs, or complex needs (desirable).
• Hold Team Teach training or are willing to undertake additional training.
