Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd in Horley is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs. The role focuses on one-to-one and small group support, helping learners engage in inclusive lessons and develop confidence.

The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers and SENCOs, fostering positive relationships and promoting independence. Salary is £92.63–£100 per day, full-time term-time only, with ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Experience in educational or SEN settings is preferred.
• Patience, compassion and resilience are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Passion for helping young people to succeed.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Support children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning disabilities.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupil independence and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to support individual learning plans.
