Job summary

SANZA Teaching Agency is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support for a Year 3 pupil with ASD and ADHD. The role focuses on helping the pupil access learning, build confidence and thrive in a supportive school environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with ASD/ADHD in a primary setting, be patient and collaborative, and support transitions and independent life skills while working closely with teachers and SENCO.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with ASD and ADHD.
• Patient, empathetic and calm demeanor.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt strategies to individual learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support throughout the school day.
• Support classroom learning, activities and daily routines.
• Adapt learning tasks to meet the pupil's needs.
• Help the pupil manage transitions and stay engaged in lessons.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Encourage independence and essential life skills.
• Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO and staff to ensure consistent support.
• Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
