Job summary

Long Term Futures Ltd in Ketley, Telford, is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September 2026. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support across KS1 and KS2, working with class teachers and the SENCO to tailor learning for children with various needs.

The role requires patience, resilience and a nurturing approach, with a focus on inclusive education, safeguarding and collaboration with parents and external professionals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a primary or specialist setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with SLT, teachers and parents.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Support children with SEN including ASD, ADHD and speech/language needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions linked to EHCP outcomes and individual plans.
• Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet pupil needs.
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and social development.
• Work with SENCO, parents and external professionals to support pupils.
• Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.

The Opportunity

Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Ketley from September 2026.
This is a full-time role supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, working closely with class teachers and SLT to provide tailored support for children with a range of additional needs.
The school is committed to delivering an inclusive education where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils across KS1 and KS2

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a primary or specialist setting
