Job summary

Snap Care is seeking a warm, energetic SEN Support Worker to assist a 25-year-old with a physical and learning disability in Strood, Kent. The role requires a female candidate, a caring attitude, and the ability to work within a 2:1 team.

Training will be provided, and weekend flexibility is essential for this maternity cover. Shifts are two 12-hour blocks across six weeks, with a total of 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Care, childcare, or support worker experience (personal or professional).
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a high level of spoken English.
• Role requires female applicants only. Desirable: Enhanced DBS on Update Service.
• Driver required: automatic adapted car for use while on duty.

Responsibilities

• Support Josh, a 25-year-old with physical and learning disabilities, in a family home on a 2:1 shift pattern.
• Work 24 hours per week with two 12-hour shifts (7:30 AM–7:30 PM), including one weekend day.
• Receive full training and operate as part of an experienced team; weekend flexibility is essential.
