Job summary

Salutem Care and Education is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Kent/UK to provide daily support for adults in residential services. The role involves working across days, nights, and flexible shifts including sleep-ins, with driving licence and car desirable.

You will deliver person-centred care, promote independence, and follow care plans while safeguarding individuals and maintaining detailed records. A DBS check and ongoing professional development are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support promoting independence and wellbeing.
• Deliver support per individual care plans and risk assessments.
• Promote dignity, choice, and inclusion in daily life.
• Assist with personal care, health appointments, and wellbeing activities.
• Help develop life skills, education, employment, volunteering and community involvement.
• Encourage social participation and positive relationships.
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and respond professionally.
• Safeguard individuals and report concerns in line with policies.
• Maintain records including daily notes, health information, and finances.
• Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
• Follow health, safety, regulatory and organisational policies; contribute to service improvement.
• Attend training and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and other shifts.
