Join Fulbridge Social Care as an SEN Support Worker

Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting both experienced and non-experienced SEN Support Workers to join our casual team in educational settings. We seek flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals eager to work in a specialist environment where full training and qualifications are provided to suitable candidates.

The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behavior and complex needs within an educational setting. Our goal is to create an environment that caters to the young person's intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.

You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons, with diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. Therefore, candidates should possess confidence, patience, and the necessary skills to make a positive impact on their lives.

Please note that candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully complete one of our induction programs before placements are offered.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Build strong professional relationships with service users and staff.
  2. Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for young people and staff.
  3. Keep all communication and information systems up to date.
  4. Participate actively in meetings.
  5. Support young people in managing their behavior using approved skills.
  6. Promote equality and acknowledge individual differences.
  7. Protect service users from abuse from staff, visitors, or other service users.
  8. Write accurate reports for reviews and maintain records for monitoring purposes.
  9. Attend all required training and achieve relevant qualifications.
  10. Attend work reliably and punctually following a set shift pattern.
  11. Stay updated with procedures and policy changes.
  12. Ensure health and safety of yourself and others.
  13. Undertake additional duties relevant to the role as needed.

  3. Effective communication skills with young people.
  4. Willingness to participate in all activities and follow service directions.
