Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualifications to degree level or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
• Some knowledge of strategies for working with young people with challenging behaviours.
• Awareness of Health and Safety issues in the workplace.
• Experience with supporting learning in education or training environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting identified children in 1:1, group or whole-class settings.
• Supporting the development of resources and teaching strategies.
• Providing feedback on children's progress to teachers.
• Leading small group sessions and interventions.
• Undertaking learning activities and maintaining classroom displays.
• Establishing positive relationships with children and carers.
