Job summary

Harris Academy Rainham is seeking a Teaching Assistant specialising in maths to support individuals and groups of students, including those with SEND. The role involves classroom support, managing welfare needs, and assisting with resources, alongside safeguarding and administration duties.

Qualifications

Qualifications to degree level or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
Knowledge of strategies for working with young people with challenging behaviours.
Awareness of Health and Safety issues in the workplace.
Experience of supporting learning of students in education or training.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support identified students in 1:1, group or whole class settings.
Assist in developing resources and schemes of work with teachers.
Provide feedback on progress and needs of students.
Lead small group interventions and manage behaviour.
Prepare classroom and display student work.
Maintain records and report information as directed.
