Job summary

Harris Academy Clapham is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students, including those with SEND, in a busy classroom. The role involves assisting learning, supporting personal care needs, and contributing to a safe, structured environment.

The salary range is £26,817.65 to £27,200.69 for 39 weeks per year at 37.5 hours per week, with development opportunities and a supportive federation network.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills required.
• Excellent English written and spoken communication.
• Experience with managing and supporting learning.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support identified students 1:1, in groups, or in class.
• Assist in developing resources and teaching strategies with the teacher.
• Assist in evaluating students’ progress and provide feedback.
• Lead small group sessions and interventions.
• Attend to students’ personal needs and support behaviour management.
• Prepare classrooms and resources for lessons and display student work.
• Maintain records and report information as directed.
• Engage with parents/carers and support school visits and activities.
