Job summary

Vision For Education Ltd is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support children in Stoke-on-Trent on a school-day schedule. Roles include one-to-one and small-group work, focusing on autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech-language needs, under guidance from teachers and SENCOs.

Your presence helps children learn, participate and feel safe in class; you’ll join a committed team and choose full-time, part-time or flexible days.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people, ideally with additional needs.
• Patience, reliability and a calm approach.
• Confidence working alongside teachers and support staff.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to get one.
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• One-to-one or small-group support, from Reception to Year 6.
• Supporting children with autism, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs.
• Helping pupils settle, regulate, communicate and join in with learning.
• Working with the class teacher and SENCO, following each child's support plan.
• On longer placements, getting to know one child and team over weeks or months.
