Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is seeking caring SEN/1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary schools in Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stone and the Staffordshire Moorlands from September 2026.

Roles include one-to-one and small-group support with a flexible mix of full-time and part-time opportunities. A DBS Update Service check is preferred, and successful candidates will work alongside experienced SENCOs to make a meaningful difference.

Qualifications

Experience supporting children with additional needs in schools, nurseries, care or similar settings.
Hold Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or demonstrate strong relevant experience.
Be patient, resilient, and committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning.
DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Have recent, referenceable experience working with children.

Responsibilities

Support pupils with additional needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised support plans.
Help pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, speech and language needs, and EHCP-funded support.
Promote engagement, independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
Provide personal or intimate care where required (not all roles require this).
