Job summary

Educato Limited in Prestwich is seeking a dedicated SEN support assistant to work 1:1 and in small groups, adapting activities to meet individual needs. You will collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote emotional regulation, inclusion and pupil independence, with training provided.

This role offers a long-term opportunity in a welcoming school environment with ongoing CPD and safeguarding training to develop your SEN knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEN.
• Calm, patient and proactive approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Ability to support emotional regulation and behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support adapting learning to individual needs.
• Support pupils with SEN across classroom and school environment.
• Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour management and social development.
• Help pupils engage with learning and develop confidence and independence.
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet pupil needs.
• Support pupils with communication and social development.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Encourage pupils to develop life skills and independence.
