Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support SEND pupils in South Liverpool mainstream primary schools. Full-time roles available for September 2026, with both long-term and short-term placements.

Experience with SEND, particularly autism and ADHD, and the ability to manage challenging behaviours are essential. Your role will involve collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure consistent support for every child.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN or challenging behaviour.
• Understanding safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Strong communication skills and proactive attitude toward pupil learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted behaviour and learning support to pupils with SEND needs.
• Implement, review and contribute to IEPs and behaviour strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and external agencies for consistent approaches.
• Promote a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment for all pupils.
• Use de-escalation and positive behaviour management to help pupils engage.
