Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Bristol is seeking qualified SEND teachers for flexible full-time, part-time or supply roles with immediate starts and daily rates of £130-£180 depending on experience. You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons, support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other needs, and work collaboratively with TAs, SENCOs and parents in inclusive settings while following safeguarding policies.

QTS and the right to work in the UK are essential, and an Enhanced DBS via Update Service

Qualifications

  • QTS and UK classroom teaching experience are essential.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND is required.
  • Understanding of EHCPs and differentiated teaching approaches.
  • DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND.
  • Create a safe, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
  • Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and communication development.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to promote accessibility.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals.
  • Maintain high expectations while helping pupils achieve personal goals.
  • Follow safeguarding and SEND policies at all times.

Location: Bristol
Position: Full-Time / Part-Time / Flexible Supply
Pay Rate: 130 - 180 per day (depending on experience and role)

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
  • UK classroom teaching experience - Mandatory
  • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Understanding of EHCPs and differentiated teaching approaches
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A patient, flexible, and child-centred approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
