Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Supply Teacher to support mainstream schools and specialist SEN provisions in the Taunton area. You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEMH, ADHD, ASC and LD across EYFS to KS4.

Qualified Teachers with QTS or QTLS, and experience in SEN settings are encouraged to apply. This day-to-day supply role offers flexible hours and continuous school placement with weekly PAYE payments.

Qualifications

  • QTS or QTLS required; ECTs/NQTs with SEN experience welcome to apply.
  • Experience working with SEMH, ADHD, Autism, or Learning Disabilities.
  • Flexibility to work across Primary and Secondary settings at short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated SEN lessons planned by permanent staff for EYFS to KS4.
  • Provide tailored support for pupils with SEMH, ADHD, ASC and LD.
  • Apply positive behaviour strategies and trauma-informed approaches to maintain a safe classroom.
  • Collaborate with HLTA/TAs and SENCOs to deliver IEPs.
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and school policies.

SEN Supply Teacher (Primary & Secondary) - Taunton

Are you a compassionate, adaptable, and skilled Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher looking for flexible day-to-day work? We are seeking dedicated educators to join our team to support mainstream schools and specialist SEN provisions across the Taunton area. Responsibilities:
  • Adaptable Teaching: Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons planned by permanent staff, tailored to meet diverse SEN needs across EYFS and Key Stages 1-4.
  • Specialist Support: Provide tailored support for pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), ADHD, Autism (ASC), and Learning Disabilities (SLD/MLD).
  • Behaviour Support: Use positive behaviour management strategies and trauma-informed approaches to de-escalate challenging situations and foster a safe classroom environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs), Teaching Assistants (TAs), and school SENCOs to deliver individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Safe Working: Maintain high standards of safeguarding and follow all school policies regarding pupil well-being.
Qualifications:
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) is required. (ECTs/NQTs with relevant SEN experience are welcome to apply).
  • Experience: Proven track record of working with children or young people with SEMH, ADHD, Autism, or Learning Disabilities.
  • Flexibility: Comfortable stepping into different school environments across both Primary and Secondary settings at short notice.
  • Key Skills: Excellent communication, emotional resilience, patience, and a calm, empathetic approach under pressure.
  • DBS: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
