Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a passionate SEN/SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school in Romford, supporting learners aged 6-19 with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and related needs. You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and develop EHCP-based targets.

The role involves collaborative work with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families, maintaining safeguarding standards, and contributing to reviews and reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
• Experience with SEN, SEMH and complex learning needs.
• Ability to plan differentiated lessons across a range of abilities.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons across KS1-KS5.
• Adapt teaching to meet diverse SEN/SEMH needs.
• Develop personalised learning plans and EHCP targets.
• Establish clear routines and promote positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents and senior leaders.
• Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching as needed.
• Promote emotional regulation and essential life skills.
• Attend parents' evenings and EHCP reviews.
