Job summary

KPI Education is recruiting a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist PRU in St Helens for 3 days per week. This role supports students with SEN/SEMH needs, focusing on re-engagement with education and positive behaviour strategies.

Applicants should have resilience, empathy and excellent communication skills. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to alternative education and SEN/SEMH needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with vulnerable young people.
• Experience or passion in supporting SEHM/behavioural needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group academic and behavioural support to students with SEN/SEMH.
• Support students who have faced exclusion or challenging circumstances.
• Deliver targeted interventions in English and Maths.
• Develop relationships to boost engagement and confidence.
• Support emotional regulation and social development.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral teams on support plans.
• Create a safe and structured learning environment.
