Job summary

Academics Agency is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for September across Rotherham's specialist schools. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to be the reason a child smiles, succeeds, and believes in themselves.

You'll champion pupils 1:1 and in groups, adapt lessons to each learner, and collaborate with teachers and families to track progress. Daily pay is £92.56–£110, with CPD and flexible placements across trusted schools in Rotherham.

Qualifications

• Qualified or experienced-Level 3 TA or equivalent in education/health settings.
• SEN-savvy, you’ve supported children with additional needs and can adapt, connect and inspire.
• Calm under pressure, patient, flexible and solution-focused.
• DBS Enhanced on Update Service, or happy to obtain quickly.
• Two strong professional references ready to go.

Responsibilities

• Be champion for pupils 1:1 and in small groups, building confidence and core skills.
• Adapt lessons, resources, and approaches to fit each learner.
• Turn behaviour into progress using tailored strategies that boost self-esteem.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and families to track progress and EHCPs.
• Support learners with sensory needs to speech delays and meet them where they are.

• Be their champion-supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, building confidence and core skills.
• Think on your feet-adapting lessons, resources, and approaches to fit each unique learner.
• Turn behaviour into progress-using positive, tailored strategies that build self-esteem and engagement.
• Collaborate like a pro-working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and families to track progress and shape EHCPs.
• Embrace every challenge-from sensory sensitivities to speech delays, you'll meet each child where they are and take them further.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Qualified or experienced-Level 3 TA or equivalent experience in education, childcare, or health settings.
• SEN-savvy-you've supported children with additional needs and know how to adapt, connect, and inspire.
• Calm under pressure-patient, flexible, and solution-focused when things get tricky.
• DBS-ready-Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or happy to get one fast.
• Reference-perfect-two strong professional references ready to go.
