Job summary

Redwood Clubs are recruiting an After School Club Assistant to work in our Saturday Youth Club for children with SEN and Disabilities. The role is based at our Middleton Campus, performing supervision, activity planning and safeguarding responsibilities in a welcoming setting.

Ideal candidates enjoy working with children, can contribute to a fun atmosphere, and participate in safeguarding training and first aid if needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with children.
• Safeguarding training recommended.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and clearing away equipment at the start and end of each session.
• Supervising children's activities and ensuring safety at all times.
• Meet and greet parents and provide feedback on their child's time at the club.
• Assist with planning activities and encouraging creative play.
• Provide a fun and stimulating environment for the children.
• Assist in generating ideas and planning daily activities.
• Monitor the condition of activity equipment.
• Provide personal care for children in attendance.
