Job summary

Rochdale Council, via Redwood Clubs, seeks enthusiastic individuals for the Holiday Club After School Club Assistant role across Middleton and Rochdale campuses. You will assist in running engaging activities for children aged 4–18, ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment during the holidays and after-school sessions.

The casual position requires energy, reliability and teamwork, with training provided for safeguarding, Prevent and First Aid.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and reliable with a professional approach.
• Flexible, quick-thinking with ideas to contribute.
• Energetic and creative, able to use initiative and have a sense of humour.
• Approachable with excellent communication skills and able to be a school role model.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clear away equipment at start/end of each session.
• Supervise children’s activities and ensure safety at all times.
• Meet and greet parents and provide feedback on child’s time at the club.
• Assist with planning activities and encourage creativity in play.
• Provide a fun and stimulating environment for children.
• Help generate ideas and plan daily activities.
• Monitor condition of activity equipment.
• Provide personal care for children in attendance.
