Job summary

Redwood Clubs are recruiting an enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to join our team at Hudson’s Walk, Rochdale. You will help create a fun, safe and nurturing environment for learners with SEN across the borough, working term-time on a part-time basis.

We provide safeguarding training, CPD opportunities, and a supportive team. The role involves engaging activities, supervising learners, and liaising with parents to share feedback on their child’s time at the club.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners, ideally in an out-of-hours or childcare setting.
• Professional, positive, and can-do attitude.
• Flexible, creative, and able to use initiative.
• Excellent communication and ability to be a positive role model.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and clearing away equipment at the start and end of each session.
• Supervising learners’ activities and ensuring their safety at all times.
• Meeting and greeting parents/carers and providing feedback on learners’ time at the club.
• Assisting with planning and delivery of engaging activities and encouraging creative play.
• Supporting a fun, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
• Contributing ideas to daily activity planning and organisation.
• Monitoring equipment condition and safety.
• Providing personal care to learners, where required.
