Job summary

Empowering Learning is working with a growing number of primary schools across North Yorkshire who are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and caring Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

We have opportunities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including classroom-based support, 1:1 roles, intervention work and SEN support.

You will work closely with teachers and wider school staff to help create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children.
  • A genuine passion for education.
  • A patient, positive and nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with children.
  • Confidence working as part of a classroom team.
  • The ability to adapt to different pupils and learning environments.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Reading, writing and phonics support.
  • Maths and numeracy support.
  • Small-group interventions and 1:1 learning support.
  • Assistance with classroom activities and Early Years development.
  • Support for children with additional needs and social-emotional development.
  • Contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment.

What We're Looking For
