Job summary

Consett Academy is seeking a dedicated SEN Officer to join our team. You will work closely with the SENCO to support students with Special Educational Needs and help ensure they reach their full potential.

The role involves liaising with parents and external agencies, developing and reviewing support plans, delivering targeted interventions, and providing high-quality support both in and out of the classroom. A commitment to inclusion and student success is essential.

Working closely with the SENCO, you will play a key role in supporting students with SEN to achieve their full potential. You will liaise with parents, carers and external agencies, contribute to the development and review of support plans and EHCPs, deliver targeted interventions, and help ensure that students receive the highest quality support both in and out of the classroom.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with children and young people with SEN, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a genuine commitment to inclusion and student success.
