Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a passionate Nursery Manager to support learners in a Middlesbrough-based Nursery/Primary setting. You will work with pupils aged 2-5, focusing on SEN support and small-group interventions to boost progress.

The role involves flexible hours (08:30–15:30), full-time until July 2027 with a temporary contract, and collaboration with the teaching team to tailor learning approaches. Right to work and DBS clearance required.

Qualifications

• SEN and challenging behaviour support in schools.
• Experience with pupils in UK schools preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Resilient, proactive and positive attitude.
• Right to Work in the UK confirmed.
• DBS Certificate (enhanced) or willingness to apply for one.
• Provide two professional references covering the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour 1:1 and in small groups.
• Deliver intervention sessions to small groups to boost understanding and progress.
• Understand diverse needs and learning styles; work with Class Teachers to tailor approaches.
• Support across the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes as required.
• Manage staff and children during shifts.
