Job summary

Remedy Education is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant in Ongar to support both primary and secondary pupils at a well-resourced SEN school.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, help with communication and EHCP targets, and assist with personal care as needed. This role offers a full-time, long-term placement with ongoing consultant support and potential permanent opportunities.

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Ongar that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

The Role

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils
• Willing to support personal care where needed
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
