Job summary

Bath College is seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Staff to enable learners with additional needs to access education and achieve personal and academic goals. The role offers term-time hours with potential for Level 5 apprenticeship progression and a supportive, collaborative environment with strong development opportunities.

Responsibilities include providing in-lesson support, promoting independence, and working with staff to tailor support.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective support to learners with additional needs in lessons and across the wider college environment.
• Promote learner independence, confidence, engagement and achievement.
• Enable learners to develop strategies and skills that support participation and long-term success.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams to implement appropriate support approaches.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and aspirational learning environment.
• Support learner wellbeing and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times.
• Maintain appropriate records and contribute to reviews of learner progress and support arrangements.
