Job summary

Bath College is seeking a SEN Learning Coach in Bath City Centre to support learners with additional needs and to promote independence within lessons and across the college. The role focuses on enabling progression and success for students within a supportive, inclusive environment.

The position offers term-time hours with the potential for part-time adjustments and the possibility to undertake a nationally recognised Level 5 apprenticeship to enhance professional development and future career

• Willingness to undertake Level 5 apprenticeship where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective support to learners with additional needs in lessons and across the wider college environment.
• Promote learner independence, confidence, engagement and achievement.
• Enable learners to develop strategies and skills that support participation and long-term success.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams to implement appropriate support approaches.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and aspirational learning environment.
• Support learner wellbeing and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times.
• Maintain appropriate records and contribute to reviews of learner progress and support arrangements.
