York College is seeking Learning Support Practitioners to help students with learning difficulties and disabilities across College. You will provide support one-to-one or in small groups, both in class and during unstructured times to facilitate understanding of the curriculum and foster learning.
We offer various hours (22.5, 30, or 37 per week) during term-time (36 weeks per year) with competitive pro rata salaries (£27,091 – £27,759).

About the role
Our Learning Support Practitioners provide educational support and care to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities across College.
You will provide support, either one-to-one or for small groups of students, in class and across unstructured time to:
In addition to in-class support there may be opportunities or requirements to provide out of class support to students over lunch and break times and support with transport at the end of the college day. There is also a requirement to proactively liaise with tutors to provide a positive learning experience for learners.
Working pattern
There are a number of term-time only opportunities available, working 36 weeks per year. Posts are available on the following contractual hours:
