Choice Teachers are proud to partner with a specialist independent school in rural Mildenhall, seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team and support pupils aged 11 to 16 with SEMH.

In this full-time, permanent role you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support, promote emotional wellbeing, monitor progress, and maintain safeguarding in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH/SEN needs is advantageous.
• Assist with behaviour support and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis.
• Assist with personalised learning and behaviour support plans.
• Encourage positive relationships and engagement with education.
• Supervise pupils during breaks and lunchtimes.
• Maintain records and contribute to pupil progress.
• Work with teachers and the wider support team to promote safeguarding.
