Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Waterlooville is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils aged 10–16 with SEMH in a specialist provision. Full-time, term-time only, with temporary-to-permanent opportunities available.

You will provide in-class and 1:1 support, help manage emotions and behaviour, and work with teachers, SEN staff and external professionals in a highly structured environment. Full training and DBS checked support are provided.

Qualifications

  • Provide in‑class and 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Support students in managing emotions, behaviour, and engagement with learning
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and individual support plans
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
  • Contribute to a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
