Job summary

The Community College, Bishop’s Castle is seeking a Learning Support Assistant Level 2 to cover a maternity leave period. You will join our successful SEN team and support students under the guidance of the SENCO and teaching staff.

You will help implement intervention plans, assist with literacy development through library oversight, and support learners with social, emotional and mental health needs. This is a strong entry point into SEN education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support individuals or groups of students in or out of the classroom.
• Work with the SENCO and teaching staff to develop and implement intervention and support plans.
• Oversight of the school library to promote literacy, independent learning and a love of reading.
