Job summary

Farnborough College of Technology is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our Learning Support team. You will work with learners across the College, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans, supporting in class and workshop settings. Applicants should have excellent communication, good IT skills, and Maths/English GCSEs.

Experience with young people, ideally SEN, is essential. This role offers both full- and part-time opportunities during term time with a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people, ideally with SEN.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good IT skills and a solid general education including Maths and English GCSE.

Responsibilities

• Develop a relationship with learners and provide needed support.
• Support learners in and out of class and in workshops.
• Report progress and concerns to tutors and maintain records.
• Work with tutors to promote positive learning behaviours and self-esteem.
