Job summary

Randstad Education is partnering with a prominent Further Education college in Bromley to recruit a compassionate Learning Support Assistant & First Aider. You will provide tailored support to learners with SEN, act as the College First Aider, and help students meet EHCP targets in a post-16 environment.

The role involves assisting with personal care, mobility needs, and accessing college services, in a supportive, inclusive setting that values student well‑being and independence, on a term-time

Qualifications

Essential First Aid certification or willingness to gain certification.
Level 2 English and Level 2 Maths or equivalent.
Empathetic, flexible and enthusiastic with safeguarding understanding.

Responsibilities

Provide tailored educational, personal development, and accessibility support to learners with SEN across curriculum areas.
Act as designated College First Aider, responding to campus medical needs and ensuring learner safety.
Assist learners with personal care, mobility needs, and well-being with dignity and respect.
Help deliver EHCPs and person-centred support plans.
Support students to develop self-advocacy, study skills and confidence to access services.
Collaborate with teaching staff and external key workers to update support plans and report progress.
