Qualifications

• Experience with students on the SEN register is desirable but not essential.
• Be motivated to work with children and young people to ensure they are successful.
• Commitment to, and belief in, the equal value of all students.
• Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
• Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours and attitudes to use of authority.
• Ability to communicate effectively and relate well to all stakeholders.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support students on the SEN register within a variety of lessons.
• Maintain a calm, supportive environment and assist with classroom management as required.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and deliver targeted support.
