Job summary

Principal Recruitment is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a welcoming secondary school in North London. The role focuses on supporting students with a range of additional needs to access the curriculum and develop confidence.

You will work with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral staff to deliver targeted interventions and help students reach their potential in a nurturing environment. We value patient, proactive team players who are passionate about young people and safeguarding.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEND.
• Support pupils to access lessons and participate in the curriculum.
• Adapt learning activities and resources with teachers as needed.
• Support students with autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and emotional wellbeing.
• Deliver targeted interventions and support literacy, numeracy and study skills.
• Monitor progress and give feedback to teachers and SEND team.
• Build professional relationships with students while maintaining boundaries.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
