Job summary

Howden School invites applications for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Learning Support Team. You will provide targeted assistance to pupils with special educational needs within the classroom and on school trips, helping to enable progression and participation in the national curriculum.

The successful candidate will have prior experience with SEN, GCSEs in Maths, English and Science, and the ability to work with teachers and SENDCo to deliver literacy, numeracy and science support

Qualifications

• Experience with children and/or young people with SEN.
• GCSE Level 2 in Maths, English and Science.
• Ability to implement strategies to support learning.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with classroom teachers and SENDCo to support learning.
• Provide literacy and numeracy support in small groups or individually.
• Assist with science support under guidance of LST.
