Preston Manor School is seeking a Learning Support Teacher to join our Learning Support Team, providing high-quality teaching and targeted SEN support across the school. You will work with subject teachers, families and external professionals, and may mentor KS5 students as needed.
Ideal candidates have direct teaching experience in STEM and a strong commitment to inclusive education, with knowledge of EHCPs and related frameworks.
We are excited to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicatedLearning Support Teacher to join our Learning Support Team, providinghigh-quality teaching and support for students with a wide range of SpecialEducational Needs across the school.
As part of the Learning Support Team, you will play acentral role in ensuring that students with a range of SEN, including thosewith Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), receive high-quality teachingand support, both through targeted intervention and across the widercurriculum. You will work closely with subject teachers, families and externalprofessionals, and will also have the opportunity to act as an academic tutorand mentor for students in Key Stage 5. We are looking for someone confident andflexible in their subject teaching, ideally with direct teaching experience ofSTEM subjects.
We would particularly welcome applications from QualifiedTeachers with experience of, or a strong interest in, supporting students withSpecial Educational Needs. Knowledge or experience of the AQA Unit AwardScheme, or a similar accreditation pathway, would be an advantage. Strongcommunication skills, a collaborative approach and a genuine passion forinclusive education are essential.
