Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a role in Loughton to support pupils in a well-resourced SEN school. The role covers both primary and secondary ages, with 1:1 and small group support in a specialist setting.

You will help with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning, following EHCP targets and plans, and may assist with personal care where needed. A patient, proactive team player is essential.

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN schools in Loughton that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible. This person will work in small groups or 1:1 with children who have a range of needs.

The Role

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils
• Willing to support personal care where needed
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
