Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant in Epping to support pupils with a range of additional needs in a well-resourced school. The role covers both primary and secondary classes, with 1:1 and small group support, and requires a calm, patient, and resilient approach.

You will work with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to implement personalised plans and promote wellbeing. The position is full-time, long-term with an ASAP start, offering ongoing consultant

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.

  • Confident supporting both primary and secondary age groups.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
  • Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
  • Assisting with personal care where required.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Epping that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

The Role
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes

The Ideal Candidate

  • Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups
  • Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils
  • Willing to support personal care where needed
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
