Job summary

Smile Education are recruiting for a SEN Inclusion Mentor to work with pupils aged 11-16 in a secondary school in Oldham. This role is suitable for experienced SEN support staff or graduates from relevant subjects.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support for SEN, SEMH, Autism and ADHD, work with the SENCO and teaching staff to help pupils access lessons, regulate emotions and remain engaged.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEN pupils aged 11-16.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils aged 11-16 with SEN.
• Work with the SENCO and teaching staff to help pupils access lessons and regulate emotions.
• Support inclusion through in-class and targeted interventions.
