Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a SEN GCSE Tutor for outreach in Bromley, supporting Year 7 to GCSE learners with Maths and English.

You will deliver tailored, one-to-one tuition during school hours, typically 10–15 hours per student per week. This outreach role can operate in homes, community settings, or other agreed locations, with a focus on enabling learners to re-engage with education.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching secondary Maths and English.
• Experience working with Year 7 through GCSE.
• Minimum two years' experience supporting SEN/SEND.
• Understanding SEND profiles and effective strategies for supporting learners.
• Able to engage anxious/disengaged learners.
• DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one outreach tuition to secondary learners (Year 7 to GCSE).
• Teach Maths and English across the secondary range with confidence.
• Assess learning needs and identify gaps in knowledge.
• Plan and deliver structured, personalised learning programmes.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit different SEND profiles.
