Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking experienced SEN tutors to provide tailored one-to-one tuition to secondary learners in Bromley. You will support pupils who may be unable to attend mainstream education due to SEND, anxiety, SEMH, or other barriers.

Successful candidates will deliver Maths and English tuition, with science optional. You will work mainly during school hours, with typical placements of 10-15 hours per learner per week, home or community settings as referrals allow.

Qualifications

• Maths and English teaching experience with secondary learners (Year 7–GCSE).
• Experience supporting students with SEN/SEND.
• Two or more years of SEN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one tuition to secondary learners (Year 7 to GCSE).
• Deliver Maths and English lessons confidently across the secondary curriculum.
• Assess learning needs and identify areas needing support.
• Plan purposeful lessons based on targets and abilities.
• Modify resources to accommodate SEND needs.
• Support EHCP targets and wider educational objectives.
• Assist with GCSE preparation and examination skills where relevant.
• Build positive relationships with students and families.
• Encourage confidence, independence and engagement.
• Monitor progress and share feedback with parents and schools.
• Collaborate with educators involved in the learner's education.
