Job summary

Niche Education LTD is seeking dedicated Support Staff to join across the Tyneside areas, focusing on SEN Support Staff, Teaching Assistants and 1:1 Support Workers in various educational settings.

You'll provide practical, emotional and educational support to pupils, including 1:1 tasks, helping learners engage, manage challenges and build confidence within a collaborative team of teachers and specialists.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a classroom, school or educational setting.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential.
• 1:1 support experience or willingness to develop in this area.
• Passion for supporting children and young people.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Patient, understanding and encouraging.
• Team player with commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing of young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, emotional and educational support to pupils.
• Work directly with young people in the classroom, including 1:1 support.
• Help pupils engage with learning, manage challenges and build confidence.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to ensure appropriate support.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive environment where pupils feel valued.
• Support wellbeing and development of pupils daily.
